Ziyan Yang is a composer, vocalist and playwright originally from Yunnan, China. He studied composition at China Conservatory of Music and he holds an MFA in Musical Theatre Writing from NYU where he was a Tisch Fellow. His works have been performed at various venues such as Detroit Opera House, The Hudson Guild Theatre, SoHo Playhouse, Joe’s Pub at the Public Theatre, NYU Shubert Theatre, Kaufman Music Center and The Theatre for the New City.
This year his musical Ti’Mon featuring book and lyrics by Ashlee K. Thomas received a developmental production by the Obsidian Theatre Festival in June 2024 at Detroit Opera House. His work The Song of the Earth, book and lyrics by Briana W. Harris, was selected semifinalist of 2024 Eugune O’Neill National Music Theatre Conference.
Ziyan serves as the Program Associate at American Opera Projects(AOP),

他的作品在底特律歌剧院, 纽约苏荷剧院, 哈德逊工会剧院,公共剧院Joe’s Pub等不同舞台演出过。
子言现居纽约, 曾在中国音乐学院学习作曲, 拥有纽约大学蒂势艺术学院音乐剧写作硕士学位, 作为一名艺术家之外, 他现任联合项目主管于美国歌剧计划(AOP)。
